Two Ladders Brewing in West Nyack NY is no more. Taking its hole-in-the-wall spot will be Noble Experiment Brewing Company. Odd name for a brewery.

Stopped at Two Ladders once but wasn’t super impressed. Nyack seems like a great spot for a brewery but that’s now three that couldn’t hold on, though my assumption on Two Villains and Marlowe is piece-of-shit-landlord.

    Many such cases.

West Nyack is actually a different town from Nyack (Officially the Village of Nyack). West Nyack has had disruptive construction in the middle of town that can't have been good for successful business. The main drag is totally bifurcated. Most non-locals are drawn to the big mall and probably have no idea there is anything to visit outside of it with how tucked away the town is between Rt 59 and the Interstate.

The Village of Nyack is a very quaint spot with walkable streets and Hudson River waterfront. District 96 has an outpost there. But yeah, Two Villains and Marlowe was a shitty landlord situation.

It's Nick, recently sacked head brewer from Gentle Giant (drama there, but i digress), who is moving into the Two Ladders Space. He is a real wizard at lagers and well connected in the local brewing community. Should be a great experience from day one, but it is a very, very small place.

The local construction has since been completed or is wrapping up, so the location should be easier to get to.

Anyone have any intel on the Wild East outpost in Canandaigua? FLX could use an upgrade in its lager game.

I'm out of town this week but will see if I can find any info when I get back.

I’ll be going through there tomorrow, any idea where it’s supposed to be?

One article said the former YMCA, another article said an old post office. This information may be very unhelpful.

I went past on the way back from Other Half—cool building but no signs of activity and the realtor sign out front has it listed as “available”.

Some great Buffalo news: Thin Man, Community Beer Works and Smoldered Society are opening a joint taproom on Chandler in the city. Not sure of the timeline but great all three of these places will be slinging draft in the heart of Buffalo.

Saw an imminent opening for new brewery Pallet Brewing Co. in Maplewood, NJ. Socials and website very limited on details re: brewers, experience, or anything along those lines. Also doesn't exist yet on Untappd despite already having beer in cans (assuming no sales yet?)

    Anyone familiar with it?

Don't think I've seen this one mentioned yet, Saltfields Brewing, a new Japanese brewery (unclear to me if they are affiliated with a brewery in Japan or just a brand new brewery by Japanese ex-pats) in NYC. Looking at their Instagram, I can't tell for sure, but it looks like maybe they brewed their first beer out of Wild East but potentially have a space of their own to outfit.

Burger Loft and District 96 opened a second location last year in Nyack under the Rockland Community College Hospitality & Culinary Center

Maybe 'outpost' is poor wording implying it is somewhere further away from the original location. It's like 15 minutes from the original spot.

Some great news out of the Roc:

    1) Copper Leaf in Pittsford is re-opening. New owner bought the name, recipes, etc. and is hiring back the former head brewer so it seems like it’ll be like the place never closed.

    2) Brindle Haus is being bought and re-opened by some mug club members (always love shit like this) and naming it Bones and Barley. Looks like they updated/upgraded furniture and some cosmetic stuff inside but kept the spirit of the former spot the same.

Both seem very much like everyone wins situations.
