Oh this is a great one. 3 Fonteinen Nocturne Flanders Oud Bruin. Review over at the NBW thread, but this is out of this world excellent.

Need something as big and intense as this is to listen to as well. I have just the thing...The Great Concert of Cecil Taylor. Free jazz concert with Sam Rivers, this is fantastic all around.



The Great Concert never got a digital release. So the only way to listen to this is the original vinyl, or the awful transfer from vinyl to YouTube ha.

Was supposed to volunteer at the Field Museum today, but my daughter was under the weather. I stayed home with her and got some yard stuff done before a storm blew in. Now enjoying a cigar and beer since it’s nice out now. May hit the pool soon.

 

Alesmith IPA (Columbus/Citra). I think the last time I had this OG it was in bombers. Found it fairly fresh too at 2.5 weeks old. Ruby red grapefruit juice and peel, ripe navel orange, black pepper, big pine resin, earthy dankness. Balanced by a bready and slight caramel malt. Finishes dry with a firm bitterness. Still delivers the goods. Awesome classic WC IPA.

 

Other Half + Fidens = All-bany Everything paired with a sausage calzone. Cheers!

It’s raining at the lake!!! To ease my tattered nerves, I’m hava beer. This is an excellent hazy from two breweries (Hop Butcher and Southern Grist), that know a thing or two about hazies. Absolutely love it.

 

Oh, hell yeah! This is the stuff.
About to put some NY strips on the grill, with relatives arriving from Houston any minute. Hopefully with some Live Oak and St. Arnold's
