The only anniversaries that have had “big” to go bottles were the 10th annys for each. Although I guess the cellar did have 10 candles the year before.

Stout week had 8 to-go bottles over the course of the week in Feb. Not sure if that keeps up, but...

 

I still think it was extremely regretful that

a) they did not use orange wax, and more importantly
b) I did not get one

 

I thought it tasted like off-brand oreos

 

Yeah I thought it was good, but wasn’t anything special to me. I think I have become a strictly one or no adjunct type of person

This is usually me as well, but this one was different. Blew dvdr out of the water

 

Might be the way for you. For me give me the adjuncts. And stuff besides vanilla lol. But I realize my opinion is probably the minority.

Anyone tried D20 yet...?

From over here on Team "Sometimes Adjuncts Can Be Good" -- I thought it seemed like a nice combo in theory. I'm not picking mine up for another couple weeks, but excited to try it soon.

The Untappd listing is pretty useless, so I went back to the announcement video to add up the whole pedigree

Recipes: Vibes + OWK + Generational + Omega (only previously used in 1 Candle, and Derivation blend #1)
Barrels (17-23 Months): Willett Bourbon, BLiS Bourbon Maple Syrup, Bookers 7-year
Adjuncts: In-house roasted/toasted almonds, Meadowfoam honey, blend of vanillas

 

I had a pour on release day and enjoyed it quite a bit. The almond-honey-vanilla had me a little worried, but they didn't intrude on the barrel at all.

 

I'm relieved to hear that....I was worried about the almond adjunct personally. They blend those BA beers so well that i'm sure the adjuncts were gonna play nicely anyway

 

SP blaming adjuncts for losses in their aged beer makes me want adjuncts even less.

There is part of me that thinks going there on Saturday and taking my kid cause she loves the bubble bus would be fun, but given there is a Barleywine to go I can imagine there is even going to be room in the parking lot. Also I wish they would open at noon more often on weekends.
