Fresh Fall Beer Sightings 2025

At the local Total Wine (in Austin) saw both a Founder's and Real Ale Brewing Oktoberfest beers last week.

 

The fall beers are flowing into NE Ohio-land over the past few days....

Great Lakes Octoberfest (bought a 6 pk)
Fat Heads " "
Sam Adams "
" " 12 pk Fall sampler (bought to try the Helles and Dunkel)
Weihenstephaner Festbier (bought 6 pk)
Southern Tier Pumking / Caramel and Maple Warlock (bought the Maple Warlock)
Schlafly Pumpkin and new Vanilla Pumpkin (bought the Vanilla new version)
Whole Hog Pumpkin

Just spent nearly $100 smackers!





this above in addition to 3 other O-fest beers purchased prior (Victory, Masthead, Heart State) - whew!!

 

Not sure if this "counts" as a fall beer - but it is damn tasty - in the Sam Adams Fall Sampler 12 pk....get it if you see it!

 

Another delicious local Festbier - Fatheads - I could drink this any day of the year and be a happy Viking Sailor!

 

I picked up some Southern Tier Warlock yesterday.



It's still summer damnit! Tho, I'm looking forward to fall. Warm days, cool nights.

 

FWIW that is the time of the day I most enjoy drinking fall style beers (e.g., Amber Oktoberfest beers).

SN Okto is now 10 miles away. I should be able to scoop up a six pack this weekend.

 

Looks like it's starting to hit the Chicago area this week too.

 

Just hit the local Binny's and saw mostly imports and just a few local Oktos.

Funny, thinking on it, I didn't see Sam Adams -- usually the first on shelves around here.

Truckload of Leinenkugel. Always tempting, always disappointing.

Picked up Sierra Nevada’s Oktoberfest and Von Trapp’s today. No German beers hitting the shelves here quite yet.

 

I found that odd too, no Sam here yet either.

A boatload of pumpkin and Oktoberfest just hit my local Wegmans this week. Too many Oktoberfests for me to pick up at once.

Snagged Sierra Nevada's, Weihenstephan, Ayinger, and Jack's Abby's new Amber Harvest Marzen (Copper Legend was there too, so this is a different beer, different ABV too).

It'll be down in the 50s the next two nights...that's good enough for me to sit by a fire and enjoy an Oktoberfest.

Local pumpkin out as of yesterday. Other local pumpkin and Ofest released tomorrow.

 

Picked up a 4 pack of Hofbrau Oktoberfestbier yesterday. The remarkable thing is they were canned on 5/27/25. That's probably the freshest German import I've ever seen here.
