Thanks P! My posting has been spotty here in part due to no internet in the house (my brother doesn’t need it) and my cell phone only works outside (my house is a cinder block fortress)… I’ll be back in Florida in two weeks…Cheers buddy!

 

I could only hope that I'm wrong but it seems like the Brewers Reserve Barleywine had become a brewery only release. I'm thinking pre-pandemic. Maybe @GreenBayBA could enlighten us if he knows. At any rate this fine offering is still available annually here and I always buy a couple of four-packs. Cheers.

This is a tasty brew, as the barrel is primarily balancing but does not lend flavor nuances. Cinnamon is overdone as many brewers tend to do, the maple is deftly added, and the graham cracker is totally under the radar. Finishes just a touch sweet but the barrel saves the day. Solid beer overall, rated 4.05.

Hey Ho! The trouble with these 12oz vessels for beer is the beer disappears quickly…probably a good thing on a hot afternoon. I got one of my travel fans out of the RV so I can enjoy a Zombie Dust on the side porch:



The beer tastes great, and the small fan beside me allows me to sit outside and post, as well as email with friends. I’m such a first world whiner…life is good - Cheers y’all from the steamy Kanawha Valley!
