    Rainy day here today. Makes the balcony even more fun to sit at and sip on some beers.

    Abashiri Brewing - Ryuhyo Draft

    This is from a brewery located in what is considered to be Japan's prison city (think of Siberian Gulag) in the remote area of Abashiri, known for its floating ocean ice in winter. This beer (happoshu) is made using some of this ice. It's blue in color (due to the use of Gardenia) to resemble the ice. However I drank if from the can so no photos of the color.

    Enjoying this while dipping in an onsen bath. Just in case you are wondering, I'm not naked (yet), although you are supposed to when you get in one of these. Maybe after a few beers.

    This bad boy is the hoppiest example of a Japanese rice lager I have ever had.

    My son and I caught a Giants' game here in Tokyo tonight. Enjoyed a beer and a hotdog. Sorry I do not recall what beer it was, probably a Kirin.

    Next stop for the day was Y.Y.G Brewing in Shibuya. My son had Poolside Stout and I had Shibuya IPA with their smoked sausages which I found interesting that they had some (3 different plus mustard) spices to try with them.

    Last beer of the night was a Two Rabbits IPA. Along with a heart shaped cracker today's Imperial Palace tour guide Jim gave us. Man this was tasty!

    We all know Sapporo beer but this is the New Glarus - equivalent of it. It's called Sapporo Classic and it is exclusively available only in Hokkaido. It's an all-malt version of the worldwide-famous lager. It tastes so much better than its widely-distributed sibling, in my opinion.
