We tend to get the H-P first and then the Paulaner Oktoberfestbier within a few weeks of that. I'm sure some of the smaller stores around have probably gotten it in but my only recent visits were to a Specs and one local store.

As noted by several posts above and the title of their new video.
Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest Is Here in Collaboration with Störtebeker Brauspezialitäten

    From another thread:
OK. Sounds like Ken but it's Brian.:grimacing:

If that happens, they'll release them so that we're having them at Mother's Day brunch.

The hop presence was certainly noticeable but I did not find it overly hoppy.
I remember some of their past Oktoberfest’s being more hoppy than this one.

I hope when you find it you enjoy it also!

One collaborator calls it a Märzen, another calls it a Festbier.:wink:

Should have specified: It's year-round in my area so I don't usually note it with the others/the Oktoberfestbier.

I am having a half pour now at the Port City, where the bottles are dated late June. I decided to ask if there was another batch, and they said there was one (I assumed “in work” based on response without explicitly verifying).

The tap version of the June batch is quite tasty, halfway towards the celebration.

My annual load in at the store is well under way: Ayinger, Paulaner, Spaten, Hacker Pschorr, Hofbrau, Altstadt, Sierra Nevada, St Arnold, Shiner, Manhattan Project, Hop & Sting, Real Ale. With more to come. Looking forward to Peticolas this year. My reps love that I load in everything I can get.

Saw a bunch of Okto beers. Only 12 packs of SN. I grabbed this as I never had it and Victory Fest, a top 5 for me along with Copper Legend. I also saw Jacks Wheat beer, never seen before and in PA you can’t buy 3 six packs at a time at the grocery so I left it there.

This beer is a bit sweet for me, it’s growing on me as I sip. Finished with a bit of bitterness. The can says 18 November 2025, is that a fresh batch? $10.99 a 6x12.

Currently planning an escape route. Should come to fruition on the next 18-24 months.

    Enjoy

I think that’s the only marzen I bought last year; just jives well with my tastebuds. For your future use they use a 5 month BBD window.

I still haven’t seen it around these parts, but then again only I saw last weekend was Paulaner Festbier. Planning to peruse the stores this weekend again, maybe it showed up.

Thanks, that makes these pretty fresh. All the beer I’ve had from Von Trapp is good so I had no issue grabbing this pack.

    Enjoy
