Tonight the Tigers showed up. Just straight mollywopped the Astros. Good to see Flaherty pitch a good game as we near closer to playoff time.

Opening beer is a Cassian Sunset from Central Waters. Great beer although the without the cinnamon this would have been perfect. Not certain if I'll pop another beer tonight or switch to bourbon for the closer. I'll let the sunset direct me.

 

I enjoyed it...not incredibly hoppy...but I wouldn't say too malt forward.

 

That beer's still going to be great at 1 -2 years out. This one is on 120 Minute level where age changes the flavor in a good way.

 

Beer choice, yes. But never saw @lordofthewiens levitate his beer like that, that's more like a David Blaine kinda thing goin' on there!

Sorry beer nerds - closer is not a beer but is in a beer glass. I'm a bourbon noob but starting to enjoy it as well.

Heavy pour of Wild Turkey Rare Breed. Nose is straight alcohol fire. Not certain how bourbon afficionados can get any flavors from the scent. To me just smelled like it burnt my nose hairs off. Taste is much better - a little caramel sweetness, spice for sure. Very oaky on the finish. This actually complements the Cassian Sunset I just finished quite well. Next time would start with this, leave a tiny bit at the bottom and finish with the Sunset.
