Just had a 7/30 green and while it does seem better than previous batches it’s not what it used to be. But to each their own. I’m surprised Charlton doesn’t have pizzas going considering that’s where Nate first had that pizza oven put in and would be out there slinging pies!

Yeah it’s pretty surprising. I remember he used to be out there handing out free slices. I grabbed a few and was so excited for them to start offering full pies. I don’t know if it ever happened tho

I understand why they don't do pizza orders to go, but ughhh I really want a pizza when I pick up my beer. I usually go by myself so I don't drink there much and I'm not ordering a whole pizza to sit down with.

For everyone talking about Charlton and pizza, I think more than a few of us have asked over the years, and the expressed answer is that once they start following food service laws, then no more dogs indoors. Thats not a tradeoff they're willing to take at the flagship. They feel like the vibe is more important, and using outside vendors like food trucks allows food AND dogs inside.

Of course, the should have just bought Zorba's ages ago, turned that to TH Pizza, and do across the road deliveries all day.

Daze against the machine is basically everything I want.

Definitely get the Julius 10th anniversary can batch. I fucking hate these stupid cans. They look cool but they're impossible to hold onto. But otherwise, it tastes awesome.

Do they not do to go boxes for leftovers anymore? Like you could get a pizza and ask for a to go box? IDK, probably too much DIY.
I was going to make a Zorba's joke earlier but wasn't sure how it would land in 2025. IDK how flush they were at that time like they are now, but that would've been great.

They have enough land in Charlton that they could build a standalone pizza hut.

They do to go for leftovers but like I was saying I'd have to order a whole pizza, sit down with it, have a slice, then get the rest to go. Sounds like no big deal but what if I don’t want to sit down inside at all?

It's basically the epitome of "first world problems" when you're complaining about not being able to take home a whole pizza with your $100 case of hazy IPA's but it’s definitely something I'd like to do at some point.

Also they don't do individual slices as far as I know so to date I've never actually had their pizza. Seems like there could be a better process but alas.

love dogs but no pizza for the 1 in 50 (probably really generous estimate ) folks who bring their dog is a pretty wild choice for their flagship brewery. especially weird since Charlton has the most outside friendly, weather protected areas for dog owners compared to their other breweries.

I don’t have a dog and dogs being allowed doesn’t really add to the experience for me. However, I could see if they suddenly stopped allowing them in, it would sour quite a few folks who do bring them. If that eventually does happen, it means the beer scene really has turned poor for the foreseeable future, because we know what a boost in revenue it would be to offer pizzas all week

Thoughts on 3 new ones for me I had last night:

-Daze against the machine: loved it. Want to get HATM next time it drops to compare

-Juicy Machine: actually didn’t like this one much. It was like apricot juice. Didn’t taste anything like JM and it’s supposed to be the single IPA version

-Heart of a warrior: straight melon bomb. It could pass for a 8.5+% offering.

I hear you, it's not a good system. Feel like if you buy beer, you should be able to get pizza.

Does Sandwich no longer do time slots for pours?

Nope. First come, first serve. No need to buy drink tickets in advance.

Walking up to the bar and saying what you want followed by payment was a massive improvement to the pre-ordered tickets.

Haze has to be their most consistent beer. Always good. Always what you expect

The info I need is probably in the thread somewhere but its nearly 40 pages…

a group of friends are going to Charlton location this weekend

i was going to place an order online to be picked up

what is the process? Is there a separate pick up line?

I don’t want to negativity impact someone else’s experience

is everything listed to go online out for you to grab yourself?

I recently went to Saratoga Springs and they had to go beers in coolers but it was a fraction of what they had available

I did an online order for the cans I wanted and they brought them out shortly after placing the order

also, just to pass along helpful information…what’s the process for getting pours on site?

NY location had wristbands they give you when in line for drafts which I didn’t bother to ask what the purpose was of the wristbands

Not sure if they’re going Saturday or Sunday…what kind of lines and wait times should they expect for pours and cans to go?
