Wow! That's probably the best taplist in the state, with a wide variety of Socal and Norcal beers. A++

Barreled Souls and Revolution were among my picks last time. Zero complaints.

Some of those prices seem too good to be true. What sized Damnation do you get for $5.00?

Based on the little tulip glass icon I’m guessing around 13 oz.

When I was living in Orange County, one of my local places charged $11 (or maybe even $12) for a 16 ounce pour of Pliny. In fact, they were the first place in Orange County to carry Russian River beers. Two years ago during their Younger release, the owners of Russian River even paid a visit to the bar as a thank you. Damn shame they rip you off though.

ABV is apparently irrelevant. At least they tell you the beer style, mostly, unlike the Toronado in San Diego.

In 2013, I really wanted to try the very new Grapefruit Sculpin and the only place I could find it was Toronado SD - on cask. Awesome. Later that year it was bottled and a limited/rare get at bottle shops. Oh, the glory days of beer…

I remember when Pliny was $5 for a pour. 7 is still a great price for a full pour.

Haven't been for a few years now, but their draft prices were always very reasonable I thought, especially for SF.

So, quick story on a warm Wednesday afternoon.

Some years ago, the Apex beer bar opened in PDX, purporting to be Portland’s answer to the Toronado. Like the Toronado, they typically did have an impressive draft and bottle/can selection, as well as surly, unhelpful and inconsiderate staff. LOL! The one thing they didn't have, however, was reasonable prices, and they prided themselves on having the highest Pliny prices in town.

Also unlike the Toronado, the Apex is now long gone.
