Can you check the packaged date on the back label? I recall from the link in OP there were only two planned KBS variants this year - KBS Hazelnut Fudge & Iced Latte. So wondering if that was from the 2022 release?

Wasn't cherry chocolate an earlier variant?

Nearly positive it was but I don't think it hit my area then... so I'm interested now.

Wish they would instead bring back Curmudgeons or Better Half or Imperial Stout.

Or, like, literally anything but DKML.

Just one idiot's opinion, of course.

We can only hope that the return of Barrel Runner is the next big return.

I remember buying singles of DKML on clearance, years after its release. Why was this a good idea?

Not likely a 2025 release but one for early 2026 perhaps?

If it doesn’t involve blueberry, I will buy at least one bottle. If I buy a 4 pack, I might end up giving away the other 3 bottles like I did with latte.

    “natural and artificial flavors”

The standards for “natural flavors” is pretty relaxed… they’re not usually “natural” by any means, cause they can be treated and processed with an assortment of chemicals and still be called that.
So .. to have to include “artificial flavors” as well, means you’re using even more chemicals and fake lab made flavorings than is typical.

It’s a shame they feel the need (or have to cause they don’t know how to make a legit BA beer after they sold out) to add that crap to beer.

Yeeeaaaah, I'll buy ONE bottle but as I've sed for the last few years on all KBS variants (including the used-to-be excellent original), I'll believe it's been aged in any kind of barrels when I taste it. Which means, if'n I can taste ANY kind of barrel aging when fresh, I still won't buy a second bottle to age and be disappointed when I pop it within less than a year, unlike all the pre-2017-18 KBS brews where I could always taste the barrel aging even after years of cellaring.

"cause they don’t know how to make a legit BA beer after they sold out" INDEED!

May I humbly suggest buying 0 bottles?

This has greatly strengthened my enjoyment of these 'flavored' KBS variants.

Nah, I'll most likely always buy one bottle of every new KBS variant hoping upon hope that one of 'em is worth a second bottle, to be consumed within 6-8 months of course.

Would really like to revisit this classic DIPA. Hoping it sees wide distribution.

Just picked up a 4 pack of DKML (bottled 7/24/25) for $14.99 at the same LFK liquor store that brought out the 8-9 bombers of 2024 BCBS Bardstown cask variant this week.

The 2025 DKML is good but I could only give it a 4 instead of the 4.5 I gave the 2017, 2018 versions I had years ago. All the flavors are muted and the heady, intense, bourbony/whiskyish, in-your-face-up-your-nose quality isn't there to my tastebuds.

I'm still glad I picked up a 4 pack but I won't consciously age the other 3 bottles any longer than a year.

It's still great and great value for the $ but once again, a shadow of what I remembered tasting years ago.

Saw a new Founders “stealth” barrel-aged beer: Wandering Tripel. As with The Cranfather and others, I don’t see anything about it on their site or social media.

Got a 4 pack of this last month at Wegmans... Wegmans always seem to get these sneaky releases from Founders.

I haven't seen this beer or anything about it here in my corner of Michigan. Maybe it's a Wegman's-only beer?

Shades of Olde Guardian barleywine from Stone... (I also got this from Wegmans, never saw it anywhere else)
