I would probably do a HA season ticket

 

This is definitely part of it for me. I'm also personally kinda salty at HA for leaving their Lincoln taproom, moving north, and then making basically every release I'd care about brewery-only. If HA distro'd more of their interesting stuff *cough* Navaja *cough* (gonna summon eppCOS with this comment lol) I'd be drinking a lot more of their beer than I do currently, unfortunately.

As for BA beers, I'll just say I can pick up a 4pk of Thundertaker & throw in a decent sandwich for the price of a 2pk of their recent mushroom collab beer. I was a huge fan of HA and still enjoy their beer but have felt more ambivalent toward them since they left Lincoln Ave (echoing SeanBond's post above). Maybe that's when craft beer started on its downswing. This is my theory. And I'm sticking to it.

Picked up HA's Gold Back West Coast Pils. Since it's a "west coast" pils, I was thinking it had a bit of resin bite but didn't get anything like that. But an almost crushable (6% abv) malty, clean pilsnor nonetheless.

 

Those are just pilsners loaded up with modern hops fwiw. It's like a 5% WC IPA without any crystal malts or anything.

 

Saw some pepper stout is coming on sale soon. Not my bag but thought I'd pass it along.

Catch Hell is not one of my favorites, but I know it’s beloved.

 

Looks like $29.99 a 4 pack now. Yesterday the post said 24.99 (or my buddy and I each hallucinated separately)

 

Last IG post about it said $24.99/2-pack. When Oznr populated today it was $34.99/2-pack. I messaged them about the discrepancy, but didn't hear back. Then when I went back to Oznr it was $29.99/2-pack. HA has since posted an IG story apologizing for the error and it is indeed a $29.99/2-pack.

 

Passed on the chile nonsense, but Sunset Vallejo is pretty alright. Crisp, not too dry, punchy

 

I drank a Double Barrel Benthic 2023 Edition in their beer garden while passing through Chicago a couple years ago and thought it ranked up there among the finest BA Imperial Stouts I’d ever had.

 

I'll just say it.
8 Billion Genies, despite the lovely can art, is just... a disappointment. A flat pina colada with nothing of interest.
