Actually interested in the reflections, but $45 seems even crazier than $95 for bbt

That’s the best Reflections but yeah, $30-$35 would be much more enticing. $25 would be a “buy multiples price”

I'll be following the reviews from a safe distance with Amburana included. Derivation Grand Cru did not do it for me in the slightest.

Derivation GC was a first use amburana barrel, my understanding is that was the issue.

everything i’ve had that’s second use has been phenomenal.

I opened the Mortalis vanilla amburana barrel stout last night and it’s one of the worst beers I’ve ever had

I picked up a 2020 not that long ago with a cellar sale they did and it definitely wasn't $95.00. That is approaching secondary pricing. It was an easy pass for me, but if I didn't already have one I'd have plunked down the $95.00.

In years past I've paid triple that and more.

DGC was an acquired taste. Once my palate adjusted to the barrel it wasn't too bad. But I understand why so many were disappointed.

“Wasn’t too bad” is still criminal for $60-75/375, whatever it was.

I enjoyed Red Line's whiskey aged in Amburana, which is partially why I was so surprised about Derivation Grand Cru.

I’m just surprised that they chose THAT beer to call Grand Cru

What are people’s thought on Derivation 20? The adjuncts seem pretty agreeable to what I enjoy but the reviews on Untappd are all over the place.

I thought it was fair. Wasn't my favorite of the Derivation series, but I'm not a fan of almonds or walnuts as adjuncts either. 4.5 is about right, but if another brewery released it it would be a 4.75 probably.

No chatter about the 2 new 750s coming. Another hazel nut beer. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow if LC gets a crack!

I'd love to be wrong, but guessing no LC offering based on the Brewery and Cellar 10th anniversaries.

SP has made a summer out of releasing a line of non-BA stouts.
