i dutifully made my second trip to Total Wine during the Oktoberfest season with the belief that I could pick up a 6-pack of Spaten Oktoberfest Ur-Märzen as suggested by the website. Seeing none I ended up with this which is a fine consolation. I also ended up with a case of Hofbrau Oktoberfest bottles for the amazing price of $30.

 

A very nice price. Spaten is good this year but it’s not that inexpensive. Cheers.

The Widow Maker I picked up just up the street at Family Fare grocery. I have not seen Red Jacket for a long time. TBH I have not looked, but I will put that one on my radar when I go to more beer-focused stores and report back, hopefully with beer in hand.

 

This Short's beer is the lightest Festbier I have had the pleasure of drinking. Nothing wrong with it, but then, nothing right about it. It tastes like Short's Local's Light to me. Cheers!
