Yeah despite all of my shit talking, I did join La Coterie this year in the hopes that I might get an MJK or OWK. I'm not impressed with the membership at all. I knew I wouldn't be but again, I'm just hoping for a chance at one of those 2 bottles. If it doesn't come, I'm not renewing.

I'm in year two and I've been hoping the same thing (that I'd get an OWK or MJK).

"So it was unlimited all weekend but we only get 1pp?" absolutely would have been a top reply.

They sold it for 3 days with no limits. I don't blame them for doing it this way. Move product and make space for the next beer.

I sort of feel like the days of owk/mjk are gone.

i mean, mjk b2 was onsite only for bottle pours and then to-go at library tastings. I’m guessing that’s the new format.

Well, if I'm SP, I know that people are gonna stay if they get an MJK or OWK. So, that's completely up to them. Like I said, if that doesn't happen, I'm out. I could have bought every single LC bottle in a public release this year. I think the 12 year and the Silent Barrel that were offered on the LC shop were up on the store for a whopping 15 minutes in cumulative time. That's crazy. And those were the only bottles not offered to the public.

Was MJK or OWK ever offered to LC? If so how did that sale work?

Let’s be realistic. 12 candles will probably have vanilla too.

I stand corrected. I'm sure you can probably understand why I would have missed those :grinning:

Per the question above — Retweeting @Heisenbrew’s comment confirming that D20 was not sold to the public at all. I had the same question a couple months ago!

It was listed in the LC shop as a standalone (1pp) initially, and then (about a week later?) as a package with Tamarindo (no limit and, again, to LC only).

So if memory serves correctly, and not including the blips like With Knox that were in very short supply — I believe D20 was the only malty beer sold only to LC so far this year, at least where all members had a reasonable chance to grab one.

Yeah, that's my bad. D20 was a nice gesture to LC.

How sweet is it compared to previous years? B1 was my favorite, but then they added a lot more coconut to it and it made it too sweet, IMO.
