What beer are you drinking now? #4737

Yeah, man, I wiped out that first 4 pack pretty quickly. I think it might be my fave version of all time - HERE's TO YOUR...sorry... URANUS!

 

I used to work travel to Mobile, AL. First night there always stopped to a place for their gumbo. Excellent (even with the okra).
Gotta know: who's/where this Cajun/Viet place?

 

Me too. Seemed to start a week or two ago after a night when they weren't responding.

Technically yesterday, but it's been a bit of a week, the details of which I will proceed to bore everyone with.

Never Having Materialized From Magic - Burial Beer Co. - Good but probably best as a one-off if you're not too crazy about NEIPAs, especially high ABV ones with hop burn. The flavor was solid, light in body and smooth to drink.

Anyway, getting hop burned while trying to understand Civ 6 after getting stuck in an elevator. Yep. The curious confluence of events that leads to getting stuck in a box - staying late at work, remembering to pick up the mail as a result, then deciding to ride the box for once. At least it didn't take long for help to fix the problem.

Also, bottle shops mispricing singles? I might regret my decision-making, but not for this particular beer. They had 4 of a stubby can BA stout on the shelf, all marked at $1.95. Apparently canned in early August - checked and one of the shops I follow on social media posted about them on the 3rd of this month. So there's nothing wrong with them. The 4-packs on the shelf definitely weren't $8!

As much time as I spend obsessing over the details, there has only been one other time there when I thought the price for a single seemed lower than it ought to be (a beer from a now defunct brewery, so I'm glad I found that). But it wasn't close to this.

Beer 4 Less? Is that right near 1000 Beers? I used to stop by the latter when I needed to get Tavour orders from Erie. They have since started delivering to my house again, so I don’t stop there regularly. They do get things we don’t any more, e.g., Expedition stout, so maybe again some day.

 

Cubs game and chilling I just took the fattest nap after work.

 

How do you find that one, Larry? I’ve been liking quite a few of their beers lately, and was glad to hear that they are making Green Wizard one of their year round offerings. Will likely grab this one soon, especially if it gets your seal of approval!
