Fresh hops in a fresh state

I think I’m pretty much done for this FH season as far as trying from different local and CA breweries. I still have a couple of three cans left to finish off before our long holiday in Korea. GC’s ITN & 1 can of HpB SF. I had about 3 dozen fresh/wet hop on drafts & cans from Washington on our Seattle trip. So I’m pretty wet hopped out. Ready for some Citra DIPA when we get back.

 

I have only had one Fresh Hop beer in my life.
Scissor Hash from Ghost Town on site at Ghost Town Laurel. Had it same day it released and took a 4 pack to go.
Couldn't tell a difference between that and Inhume , but I'm a moron.
The shelf life, or should i say "quick drop in FH quality" ,of these things is a massive turn off , but i know we all like new things!

 

I can say I’m pretty freshed out right now even though I have 8 cans I’m taking with me which I’ll have to drink the first week there. Welcome back.

Stopped by Hi-Time in Costa Mesa this evening and picked up a single can of SN's Northern Hemisphere Wet Hop Harvest. Not bad, but probably on the lower end of the Wet/Fresh hops that I've tried so far.

 

I actually have a pack in my cart there but didn’t pull the trigger yet, so thank you for posting your feedback on that one. Sounds like it might be a pass

 

I had this last year too and remember it being pretty so-so. Same this year, ah well

 

Didn’t think that got distribution. Only online sales, which sold out quick.

 

I just happened to see a single opened 6 pack box of it with 5 cans left inside so I grabbed a can just to give it a try. Don't know if they have more, but that's all I saw when I was there last night.

It was decent and I'm glad I gave it a try, but I wouldn't go out of my way to pick up more.

 

Here's a pic I took of the lone can I purchased. Not the usual glass I'd put it in, but that's all that was available at the moment.

 

HpB says only 10 cases & 1 keg of FH HelloLA on Friday the 24th. Good luck y’all. I’m sure they’ll be a line to get 1, maybe 2 4pks each.

 

Stopped by Windsor CM early on Saturday and noticed they had Fresh Hop Timbo on the board. I asked if they had any cans and they said they got some in Friday but they sold out in 30 minutes.

 

enjoying Sticky Fresh & watching game 7 in Korea. All 30+ cans and bottles survived the trip. Go Mariners.

 

While out hunting for more Ghost Town Butchery, ran across one more fresh hop from them. Solid, still has some green character even with two weeks from canning. Bummed though I didn't cross paths with their Green Fiend Mosaic fresh hop this season.

 

Windsor Brown has both HpB fresh hop releases on tap. FH Timbo Pils & Sticky Fresh.
Board & Brew in HB is getting everywhere’s Fresh Leaves. Not sure it’s been tapped & tapped out already.
