Doug, is this some backyard view? Damn gorgeous.

Regardless... Montana and Idaho on my shortlist of places I gotta be and see.

    Cheers!

Beer two... Foraged from Tucson's own Pueblo Vida Brewery. A hazy IPA with the bitterness/finish of a WCIPA. Prickly pear added for some subtle enhancement.

21st Amendment 25th Anniversary IPA. Great head retention and lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big ruby red grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango, honeydew melon, passionfruit, papaya, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Medium pine, citrus rind, herbal, spicy bitter finish. Medium carbonation and body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering resin dryness with minimal lingering hop astringency. Great all around classic west coast IPA with Centennial, Cascade, Chinook, Idaho 7, and Simcoe. Classic C hops dominate, but the tropical notes are very balanced. 4.1/5

Yea it looks like you are right, looks like all are shutting down next month. I had not reviewed a new 21st amendment in a while, but their flagships are probably still sitting around locally. It was never something I regularly bought, so it is not much of a loss. Just sad to see another independent brewer gone

Here is the Eibauer dark Zwicl'l from the bottomless Costco Biergarten box. It's quite malty and more appealing than the usual Schwarzbiers. Call it a double dark Marzen. I just got back from three weeks in Japan today and I couldn't tell you whether water runs uphill or down hill but this is quite tasty and slushy on the tongue.
