In the headphones:

 

1) Phase Three Rule Of Thirds (7.7% canned 7/10/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Mosaic & Nelson for flavors of white grape, snappy passionfruit, zesty citrus and tropical berries.
versus
2) Phase Three All Pixel Everything (8.0% canned 8/18/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin for flavors of orange, green melon lime, berries, tropical grape. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Phase Three Battle and probably two of the best IPAs I've had all year. Sadly, my last of Rule Of Thirds, but it was its time to go. Citra, Mosaic, Nelson. Possibly the best hop combo. Nice tropical berry and floral notes. Incredibly complex. Not as robust as it once was in the summertime, but still RIP.
Then Phase Three comes out of All Pixel Everything, possibly even a better hop combo with the Motueka to replace Mosaic to give it a zesty lime flavor. Nearly identical, but slightly more zesty citrus and I can tell it's more fresh. It's wonderful as well, but this is a Eulogy to Rule Of Thirds and will be hard to wait until next time.
Winner: Phase Three Rule Of Thirds

Getting into Bigger Cat TIPA from Ocelot and The Veil in VA that a friend brought back for me after volunteering at Snallygaster. Last brewed in 2019. This has a lot of flavors going and definitely is in the old school DIPA/TIPA genre. No hop or alcohol burn despite the 11%abv. Nicely done!

I have the same question. I have to take antibiotics for dental surgery (a 59 year old root canal somehow got all infected-jawbone too). I think it depends on the particular antibiotics you take. Of corse the doc is going to say no mixing antibiotics with alcohol.

 

Stone IPA (6.9% canned 9/5/2025)

Another Stone. Within 2 months fresh is pretty good for around here.

 

I like this beer, and it's actually the perfect size for my vintage Carlsberg glass.
