    On the left, 2025 Sierra Nevada Bigfoot on draft. On the right, 2013 Bigfoot from the bottle. While the nose on the freshie is supreme, the oxidization of the 2013 calmed the intense bitterness, which made it ultimately a bit better for my timid palate.

    Tonight selection is Humble Forager’s Holidaze which pairs perfectly with the cold rainy windy evening. Definitely a hybrid English Barleywine and Winter Warmer style that warms you from the inside - big rich flavors and aromas with a super smooth warming mouthfeel. Fantastic.

    i have those same bottles in my fridge.
    2013, 2022,2023,2024,2025.
    All my wife's. She used to love Bigfoot but now stays away from any beer over 5% it seems. She's switched over to Gin and Wine almost exclusively.
    Tried to talk her into letting me have them but didn't work.

    I've lived in Chicago most of my adult life, but for 6 months I lived in Omaha, NE and somehow had access to Weyerbacher for the only time. They literally had to ship it past Chicago to get there!

    While their Quadrupel was my favorite, I also enjoyed Blithering Idiot quite a bit.

    Hearing now that they have ANOTHER barleywine that may even be better (Insanity) is, no pun intended, driving me insane!

    Here's to another white whale beer to track down.

    Insanity was around a while ago.... not sure if they even brew it anymore? Unless that was a new bottle pictured.

    I've only seen Blithering one time and I bought it up and was very good. Never see any Weyerbacker stuff anymore here
