To add to the new Maryland breweries, there is Watchtower in Aberdeen and Unauthorized in North Beach. Both opening in just the last few weeks.

 

got over to unauthorized a couple of weeks ago. Very tight space but they did say they'll have space open on a higher level in a couple of months once a wall gets knocked out

 

Big news for fans of Iron Hill Brewery. According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, Jeff Crivello, former CEO of Famous Dave’s BBQ and current head of Ciao Hospitality, has received court approval to acquire 10 closed Iron Hill Brewery locations, including spots in Center City, West Chester, Huntingdon Valley, Newtown, Wilmington, Lancaster, Hershey, and Rehoboth Beach, plus two in South Carolina.

News about a Wild East taproom in Canandaigua dried up, but I was down at the brewery in Brooklyn this week and the barkeep says the plan is still in the works but is bogged down in who knows what. He also said there are other parties involved, and I got the sense he meant multiple breweries. Said it would be a year or two at the least considering the snags they've hit but that it's definitely still in the works. That's excellent news, because holy shit their beer was awesome. If they open up a taproom, they'll instantly be the best with lagers in the FLX region.

DeWolf Brewing Company officially opened in Victor NY this week. Visited Friday afternoon with wife and some friends. Nice large bar area, and a separate room with lots of tables and room to sit. Had their Kentucky Common and their Fest beer, both very good. Wife had their IPA and Mexican lager and enjoyed both.. No food yet, but supposed to happen next month. Good start and we will return for sure.

Surprised not to see this on posted yet. Been in the works for a while, but looks like they finally may be opening in Q1 2026:

Rosecourt Brewery, right in the center of downtown Madison, NJ

Brewer is a former head brewer from Kane I believe, and he's trained and brewed in Europe if I'm not mistaken. Seems to be super passionate and talented so odds are this should be a pretty good spot with a good variety of styles.

 

This just might make visiting my brother more appealing.
