Definitely, microwaving a pizza fucks it up more than anything. Pan or a few more minutes in the oven does it. Live and learn.

    1) Toppling Goliath Mosaic Mamba (8.5% 9/30/25): A NEIPA from Iowa with Mosaic and Galaxy for flavors of orange, melon, and mango. Smooth.
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath Citra Hop Drop (8.1% canned 10/29/2025): A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra, Simcoe, and Krush for flavors of orange, citrus flower, berries, stonefruit, and tropical grape. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Happy NFL Sunday BeerAdvocates. Some great NFL games today to start, far better than last week. The NFC North is looking pretty wild.
Toppling Goliath IPA Battle. A couple of recent releases. First is Mosaic Mamba. Mosaic and Galaxy. Tropical berries and floral citrus notes. A great beer. Next is Citra Hop Drop. A collab with Boulevard with some newer Krush. Some bright citrus, pineapple, and floral notes. Robust and amazing IPA. The jury is still out on this, but so far really liking this collab.
Winner: Toppling Goliath Citra Hop Drop.

Next up is a Milk Stout from Autodidact. I usually prefer an Imperial Stout but this has great depth of flavor and the mouth feel is killer! Cheers!

Went to Great Heights Brewing this afternoon. They had their 8th Anniversary party this Saturday...I don't do that kind of BS, so it was a chill early Sunday day drinking for me, and guess what...they had all the anniversary beers. No plastic cups, lines, crowds, or any other BS ha.

First up is West Coast Fruity Pellets. They basically made their top selling NEIPA, but as a west coast IPA and Chico yeast grist. Yeah, this is great, and I'd be drinking this way more than any NEIPA.

Next is their 8th Anniversary Triple IPA, 10% abv, Nelson Sauvin , Nectaron, Citra.

Not a fan of this, review for both over at the NBW thread. These really shouldn't be called "hazy" they should be called "Pond Scummy." Also way to much alcohol heat, and not nearly as vibrant as West Coast Fruity Pellets. I'll never understand these kinds of "IPAs" but I guess I have to try them just to make up my own mind...I guess

For pizzas like Dominos or whatever, I'm happy with microwave. Even Jesus can't elevate that as a leftover.

After Great Heights, went to Moon Rabbit, a great Vietnamese place.

Yellow Rose in the glass (notice its "hazy" but not "pond scummy") With Salt & Pepper Squid, this is great.

Normally, this is where I would try to find another place to wander over too...but all the places I have normally walked to in the past have closed and awful over priced places has taken over. I would go over to Johnny's (the home o the famous $2 Old Fashioned) but they have started their annual Christmas bash, and you have to have reservations just to get a seat at the bar. So all the normal regular avoid Johnny's till after New Years ha. So that just leaves, having some Bourbon, Rye, or maybe Scotch, at home

I'll admit I had "The Poster" of Linda on my wall when I was in high school. The only time I saw her perform live was in '77 on a steamy summer night at the Garden State Arts Center. The band was great; they extended "You're No Good" to something like 10 minutes. After almost 50 years I still remember that show.
