    Greetings and good weekend all!

    In my glass today to answer the formal question Les asked:

    “Au Coin Du Feu” which translates to Next by the fireplace.

    A childhood friend of mine brewed it in collab with another brewery:

    6%, large 750ml bottle. Palatable and drinkable. Rather slightly spicy making it a fine winter warmer.

    Well, somehow we survived the the temp drop from 80 in SAT to 26 here! The bathroom was nearly finished (but useable) when we got back - now we just have to wait for the correct fixtures to be delivered and the pile of deconstruction stuff in the front yard to disappear! But at least the turtles were happy to see me back - someone around to feed them constantly!

    Today's New (Late) Breakfast Beer:

    Universe from Scratch from Bottle Logic Brewing. Single 16.9 fl oz bottle, picked up 15/11/25, at HEB #45, SAT, TX, $33.62 (including tax)/$1.99/fl oz. On room temperature shelf in store. Reviewed 29/11/25, review 3643.
    Final impression and summation: 4.5 Uncredited art work. Excellent English-style barleywine! And I only had to drive 1500 miles to find it!
