Very SSSappyyy is just incredible. It’s the beer I am thinking of while I laugh when someone says all TH’s IPA’s taste the same or they can find just as good IPA’s on the shelf at their local.

    A Christmas Miracle:

We are looking for driven, hardworking individuals to join in bringing the culinary experience to Tree House guests with the position of Pizza Maker. This role will be a key part of our exciting expansion of pizza service at our Charlton location--an opportunity to grow a program that's already highly successful across our other locations!

Will be interesting to see how they handle the logistics of having the pizza made across Sturbridge road.

that can't be what they're really doing (is it?). I can't see why they'd do that when they already have all that space in the lower lot that I haven't seen used for parking in ages (disclaimer...I avoid weekends like the plague and when I do venture forth, people always seem to be parking on the grass in the upper driveway).

Went last night. It was tremendous. Walked right up to the bar to get pours no line at all, everything served in proper glassware. No pour limits. Sat on the couches from 5:00-7:30. walked out with a case of course. Cowboy Burgers from the food truck were solid. Hard to beat experience. Place just keeps crushing it.

Love their facilities, but isn't all of this an experience you can get at most breweries?

I think what separates them is how gorgeous their facilities are and they all seem somewhat unique compared to the other Tree House locations.

It is very good, I enjoyed the first can out of my four pack very much. Wish they had it on tap when I went though.

They definitely don't all taste the same, because Very SSSappyyy is much better than regular Sap. Regular Sap was good to me, but not any better than some of my favorites in New England I can regularly get.

while I'd be the last to complain about that, they wouldn't have to ban dogs unless they build out a kitchen space inside the existing building. If they build something new and separate, with say a walk up take out window, it would function just like a food truck and they wouldn't have to make any change to their dog policy.

This is most likely what they're going to do. I'm imagining something like what Bissel Brothers does, if you've ever been there

Bissell allows dogs inside? I honestly don’t pay too much attention if there’s dogs at breweries, but I don’t recall that.

I doubt they would do this, very inefficient, but others have joked about them buying the building since it’s already a pizza restaurant.

idk if they do, but the food order/pickup area is a seperate place with a door. Maybe there's some loophole where it can be counted as a seperate business in the same building (mall, plaza, etc..) and the main brewery can keep its dog policy

Bissell no longer allows dogs in the Taproom. (they used to but changed policy). They also have "The Garden" Area which is 21 and older only.

Has anyone tried gift of hops or remember it from previous years?

My assumption from the write up mentioned some hops gone to great lengths and trips to source would mean NZ varieties. Just not sure my brain is looking for those flavors with Xmas beers.

To piggy back on this with another question. I admittedly don't know wtf all the Christmas beers are. Any standouts?

I'm curious what you all think about these too. I have always stayed far away because of my knee jerk reaction the tea additions. BUT... should I have an open mind?

    So interesting question.

I also wanted to stay away as said above. But, a friend of ours(who’s big into TH and lives like 5 min away had them when we’re coming over for a share and crashing with them a few years back. We tried each one and I was really impressed. Each one is different, some more than others. The most extreme to me is The Most Wonderful Time For This Beer. With the tumeric and tea. And this one has been a highlight for me year to year. I really, enjoy them and have a soft side for art so the labels are weirdly nostalgic to to me now. I like to get the set each year.

The added ingredients very much just enhance the base beer and are not cloying or overly in your face. Certainly worth the buy. You just might not get the house yeast (bubblegum) thing some people love. They’re sort of in in TH class of their own.

It’s once a year. Give it a whirl. Non of them will taste as you expect them too.

My tip, stick to the Santa cans. I would put jingle and jolly below them. But still excellent. Just where to allocate unnecessary spending we all do here.

TH has to be one of the few places that can pack a brewery out wall on any given Thursday. Overhead or not, it’s staggering $ and it’s insane this can happen in Tewksbury, MA…
