Speaking of Mosaic I don't really get the garlic/onion thing but I def get the berry notes. Big fan of Mosaic.

When you live in Ocala, horse capital of the world, at the edge of the Ocala National Forest, you get a lot of Jeep clubs in the Christmas parade. Celebration as it rolls on.....

 

New Holland Dragon’s Milk Reserve Oatmeal Cookie. There’s definitely some cinnamon, raisins, oats, and bourbon. This is a solid variant.

 

#2, this is a “comfort food” beer that I’d gladly try again.

 

I’m still chugging my way through Sierra Nevada’s IPA lineup. Yesterday was their Hazy Little Thing IPA – Today’s edition goes one bigger – Big Little Thing IPA at a whopping 9.5% ABV!!!

Usually I have to be in the mood for big ABV IPAs. A lot have them have a solvent characteristic of raw alcohol to them, but not this one! Very smooth and hides the booze well!

Using a blend of Magnum, Crystal, Chinook, Idaho 7, Columbus, Cascade, and Mosaic,hops, this is a citrusy and fruity fuzz-bomb of a beer. Definitely hazy, it doesn’t have quite the head or head retention of its smaller sibling Hazy Little Thing IPA. This seems to be typical of a lot of high-ABV brews, there’s a bit of a trade-off there.

As another member of the Fuzzy Murky Muddy brigade, my first thought would be how much I’d REALLY enjoy this one as a Westie, with crystal-clarity. These Fuzz-Monsters take away some of the fun for Beermeister32, I’ll be back into the Torpedo and Celebration brews beginning tomorrow. Cheers!

 

What did you think of that, I saw it at my local but passed on it. I believe it was 4.0 ABV which would qualify as a session version of Swish.

 

The Second Fiddle talk tonight made me glad I had one in the fridge. Totally agree on its greatness and it being the best deal in New England craft. They also do a great job of ensuring that their beer is fresh and in the coolers. You never see it out on a warm shelf and you almost don’t even have to check the dates because it is always a month or less

Skyline is my 3rd choice when it comes to Cincinnati Chili

I prefer Camp Washington Chili and Pleasant Ridge Chili, but Skyline is my favorite widely available option.
