1) Drekker Leisure Suits & Laser Beams (5.2%): A Czech Amber lager with flavors of dark malt, cocoa, and roasted notes.
versus
2) Back Channel Zero (5.25%): A Czech Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark malt, cocoa, light roast. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Holding my breath during this Kansas City Chiefs, LA Chargers game so starting with some beer.
Czech Amber vs Dark Lager Battle. First is Drekker with an Amber. Dark malts, grains, caramel notes. Nice toasty notes.
Next is Back Channel with a Czech Dark, a bit more roasted and cocoa notes here. Similar softness. Both amazing, but I am really liking this Drekker Amber.
Winner: Drekker

 

Dunkel is an exceptional beer style. My favorite among the darker beers.

 

I just got 2 litres of dark maple syrup at the Saint Jacobs Farmers Market for CAD$30 last Thursday. On the beer front. In Ontario we are getting 4 packs of Unibroue 473ml cans, as you see on the bottom shelf, but they are a mixed pack with one each of Fin du Monde, Eau Benite, Don de Dieu, and Trois Pistoles for CAD$16 (about USD$12). Not bad.

 

Unnoticeable in this pic is the foot of snowpack out there. It's been decades since we've had this much snow in December. I'll half-heartedly Celebrate this occurrence. Watching RedZone as always and gearing up for my Broncos v GB. I think they're in trouble today. This is the second time Vegas has disrespected them with the line, and Vegas is rarely wrong twice

 

Enjoying a Red Sweater IPA and some NFL games. Solid offering from Founders. Maybe too much caramel sweetness but still pretty good. Cheers

Daze from Tree House. This is the last of a phenomenal lineup of IPAs sent to me from the ever generous @TCgenny. I have been spoiled by these beers. TH definitely lives up to the hype, can’t imagine drinking these on the regular. Been dazed and confused for so long it’s not true, wanted an IPA, never bargained for you.Thanks, Tom, and go Bills!

 

Ha! Blind squirrel factor. Falcons have a habit of winning games when they don't matter to them and can screw up a good draft position. Okay, I'm game for a friendly wager.

I don't have a concrete driveway - it's asphalt. Doesn't damage the driveway, but you're right, you have to be careful if you have a concrete driveway. I haven't had any issues with it.
