    Personally, I hope they keep venturing out with new and interesting releases.

    Scratch that, just make more Sour Reserve!

    I know the blackberry is on, but I wasn't sure if the persimmon was just going into the barrels for a later release as the persimmons were still being picked a couple of weeks after the sour reserve was released.
    It doesn't seem like enough time for the barreling and the bottle conditioning....I suppose time will tell.

    Hey all,

    We're shooting for early May release of Persimmon, Raspberry, Blackberry and Sour Reserve (Batch 2). Ballpark bottle estimates are 900, 600, 600, 400 respectively. Our brewery newsletter will announce the next online reservation period heading into April, once we have a nod on our bottle conditioning progress.

    And for a fun update, we are mid-renovation at our new brewing facility, which is keeping on target for mid-year core brewery transition. Includes a new brewhouse, allowing us to utilize our original system and brewery home for dedicated sour ale brewing for the remainder of 2012. Essentially this means more lambics, sour reserve batches, Gilgamesh, Dantalion and new creations to see light towards the end of 2013 and beyond.

    Oh, and Dantalion is DAN-TAIL-YON, not dandelion. Has nothing to do with flowers, named after an arch-duke of hell, who would probably set plantlife ablaze walking past. Sorry for the Friday pronunciation tirade, have a great weekend everyone.

    Cheers,
    Caleb

    That is all great news, Caleb.

    Also, I saw the Upland logo on a pint glass on Parks and Recreation last night. Pretty cool!

    Yes, beer **** pictures are better when the glass matches the beer that's poured into it!

    @Caleb

    You guys should sell Upland snifters so we can use proper glassware to drink the lambics out of :wink:

    Just picked up a couple bottles of Gilgamesh, a Dantalion (DAN-TAIL-YON), and a Cherry Lambic in Indy on Monday. Not a lot out on the shelves though.

    Apparently the Indy Tasting Room still has quite a few left.

    Saw Gilgamesh at Crown Downtown, Kahn's on Keystone and 21st Amendment on Keystone as well as the Indy Tasting room on Saturday. It was cheapest at the Indy Tasting room.

    Does Upland do any type of release event for these? Or do they just have a limited distribution?

    You have to reserve online (no charge), then pick it up at either the Indy Tasting Room or the Brewery in Bloomington on preset dates. I think when Sour Reserve was released, they also sold tickets for a reception where one could sample all 10 or w/e number of sours they had for $30. Other than that I think they'll have some special drafts the first weekend sours can be picked up.
