North Coast Old Rasputin (9.0%): A Russian Imperial Stout from California with flavors of dark cocoa, espresso, dark roast, and grains. Dark, bitter, and dry.

An Old Raspy during some afternoon snowfall to get ready for the big playoff game tonight. Plus, I'm still sipping some Founders CBS from yesterday. @GreenBayBA has laid the game out nicely with an epic playoff matchup tonight between Green Bay and Chicago.

I picked this up at the brewery on Thursday after enjoying it on draft. It was better on draft, especially with the “slow pour” method that Seedz utilizes, but it is still excellent from the can. A “beer drinker’s beer,” IMHO, and one I enjoy immensely.

My last trade beer from a guy in Florida: Abita “ ANDY GATOR”Helles Doppelbock !

 

Pulling for the Panthers, not really sure how they are still in it though.

I swear I am not doing dry January....but it is a dry beer week this far. A hearty thank you to @BeerVikingSailor for the heads up on the Untitled Art Flvr NA sale. Expecting that soon.

In the meantime, probably some Amaro Nonino Quintessentia after this wonderfully made sugo made with mirepoix, pork sausage and beef broth! Fresh basil at the end and of course on top!

I’m at Alma Mader Brewing on the fourth day of Dark Daze of Dark Beer, the first day I’ve been able to get here in KCMO. This is Fool’s Lair (2024), a BA stout with coconut and cacao. Cheers!
