    I just added one and it was 777,506 so the site's secrets are being cracked.
    @BBThunderbolt
    @shelby415 added a beer at 12:32 this afternoon which was 777,308, so 198 beers in 7 hours is a nice pace. That would mean around 600 per day but this is a weekend day.

    I added 115 Thursday, 103 Friday, and 168 yesterday. Don't have today's total yet.

    As Papa said, having a brew every time you add a dozen beers to the database................................well.....the ol' Duder would have been waay past abiding after the first five dozen.......KUDOS!

    When we establish a goal for the 7th-8th weekend I'm going to use you as an example of what can be done in a few spare minutes. :grin:

    I've been picking out smaller breweries in smaller towns. A lot of times they get added to the site but don't have a lot of their beers added.

    168 takes many hours. Remember to get up and stretch occasionally!

    ...but it may not be a counter per se. It seems to be an index number into the database, and deleted beers may be included in that (by not decrementing it).

    I don't know if it happens that way or not, but there likely isn't that many deleted beers. The only reason I can think of to delete a beer would be a duplicate entry, and I hope we're all careful enough to check for that before entering (although I'm certain it does happen because I did it once. :flushed:).

    I've done it too, and I've found and reported dozens over the years. I'll go to review a beer, and there are two (or more). Yeah, as a percentage it would be low, but probably thousands have been deleted. Still would be good to have a definitive counter.

    It's happened to me few times the last few days, and it's usually because I forget to go to 'All' when I toggle back to brewery page after adding one.

    the "ALL" beers tab is key to avoiding the duplicate beers.

    Another tip is to really look at the current list of beers, and understand how variants have been entered. Extreme case in point is Drekker. Their BRAAAAAAAAins line has hundreds of variants already. Somewhere along the line, someone made the standard format "BRAAAAAAAAins - Monkey Business". Someone might go against the standard and enter "Monkey Business BRAAAAAAAAins". Inevitably someone else will add it the 'standard' way, and you have a duplicate. Happens all the time with Drekker. In this case, I'd do a browser search for "monkey" or "business".

    Another concern is how multiple years of the same beer have been handled. Some have been entered with the year in the name, creating duplicates, though the BA standard is not to include year, and instead add in the notes any year to year differences, such as which bourbon barrel, or ABV. Where the differences are drastic, such as style, year has been allowed in the name in some cases.

    Another naming format that tends to have duplicates is the use of BA or BBA. Sometimes 'ABC Stout' has the BA before the name, but I like to place it after the name so that 'ABC Stout' and 'ABC Stout - BA' will appear together in alpha order in the list.

    According to their incremental drink IDs, around 6,566,937 drinks have been entered as of this post (can't speak to duplicates/deleted drinks), but UT also has over 12 million signups, tons of UT for Business clients (brewers/manufacturers) adding their drinks directly, dedicated dev, sales, and marketing teams, a large team of mods from around the world, etc. UT also allows homebrew and over 900 different drink types; beer, mead, cider, spirits, wines, canned cocktails, THC‑infused drinks, coffees, sodas, and more.
