This is the year that Noble's tasting room expansion will happen folks. I can feel it. Feel it deep down inside.
Back in my Wild West days I recall meeting at one for a date. They had some special where beer on tap was literally $3 a pour. This was like 6 years ago. That was a fun night
Occasionally I'll see a post or something from them like a jump scare. I think the last time I had a beer from them was maybe two years after Evan left to open Green Cheek and it was very mid. It got to a point where I just used their lot to park before an Angels or Ducks game and don't even bother grabbing a courtesy beer, but I haven't been by in a few years.
Just found out I’ll be at the Grove for a WOP? gig in March. We’ll do our usual and stop by everywhere for a pour and then head to Nobles parking lot and walk over to the Grove, with a can in hand like @Resistance88.
For anyone that has a Board and Brew location near them I would recommend signing up for their email list because each location has an anniversary month where they do the $4 pints. They’re pretty good about not spamming you. And I’ll second the recommendation for their sandwiches. Turkado and the Chicken Club are great!
everywhere is hiring for their future Long Beach location, so looks like it's a sure thing. That'll be four locations total: Orange, PDX, Union Station and Long Beach
Good luck to everywhere and their expansion. I’ll believe it when they actually open, like Monks Echo. It’ll be cool to take the MetroLink to Union Station and hit up HpB, Homage & everywhere.
I have a low-key spot I've gone to the last few years--if they have it again this year, I'll stop by for a couple. I don't want to stand in super long line for a limit-1 tiny pour, so I always try and find an out of the way place each year and if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out.
I’ve done one event at Hollingshead (and it was fun). But I don’t think I’d do another again (same with doing one at Russian River’s pub). Anyway, the best day for Hollingshead’s is always the day after. No line and still plenty of Younger. What’s lame though is that they still charge the same price for a pour as if it was the day of release where you get to keep a custom Younger/Hollingshead glass (they usually run out of the glasses early day 2).
For any fellow Californians here this might be of interest to you. Radiant Beer Co in Anaheim is celebrating their 5th anniversary in the next couple of weeks and has a box of one of a kind collaboration beers up for pre-order now, which I just pre-ordered. It will be available for shipping in the state of California, so you don't need to live near the brewery in Anaheim to enjoy this offer, but they can only ship to California addresses, or you can pick it up in person at the brewery. The collaboration beers in the box are a Belgian Blonde with Monkish, a Pale Lager with Wayfinder, a DDH Hazy Imperial IPA with Other Half, a TDH Hazy West Coast IPA with Cellarmaker, a TDH West Coast IPA with North Park, as well as a DDH West Coast DIPA from Radiant. More info is on Radiant's website if you click on the "Shop" header Anyway, just put that out there for anyone who might be interested. Cheers! - John
Thx for posting this. I read this last week and forgot to post it here. I will most likely stop by to see what they’ll have on tap, hoping they will have the collabs on for the anniversary. $40 (I think that was the price) for the box of collab is nice. But would like to have straight pours at the source, if available. I don’t buy Radiant cans often these days as I have some good breweries next to me. But they are still on my radar along with everywhere beer.
