    The only beer I bought back on my trip into Madrid proper that I’ve already had before. For good reason! This doppelbock is an all timer, 7.4%, under €3 for a 0.5 L, powerful Mocha Coffee flavors, a little plum, smoke, but not overwhelming. Like the perfect balance between a doppelbock and a stout/porter vibe.

    On a slightly different note, I just finished reading the 1909 short story ‘The Machine Stops’ and I can’t recommend it enough for sci-fi fans. It’s amazing how accurately it predicts the future, from dependence on machines, lack of in human interactions, etc, it’s remarkable. Only 30ish pages too, so easily readable in an hour or so.
    Keeping what that theme for my song suggestion…
