Emma and I got a nice - albeit chilly - walk in earlier - now sipping on this, local'ish coffee stout, as lunch plans come together - think I will head over to local Thirsty Dog this afternoon, for some Coffee Siberian Night - a great beer!

Thanks! That "creek" is the Tuscarawas river, which is part of the largest watershed in the US (the Tusc drains into the Muskingum, which drains into the Ohio, which drains into the mighty Mississippi!) - I live close to the headwaters of the Tuscarawas

 

Yep, heard that a few days ago - the original location is 1/2 mile away from me - never though their beers were all that great, really....and the "Rabbit Hole"? These guys think they can open and run 2 places, and make it work - does not seem so around here!

 

Picked up this bottle of Abbaye D’Aulne Winter Beer Trippel for only €4 and I’m not disappointed. While I slightly prefer their regular offerings this has a rich and peppery flavor that you can feel in the back of your throat/nostrils akin to Wasabi.
Hoping it pairs well with this frozen Mac I’m making for dinner.

 

Today, it's beautiful outside, albeit cold, out here in McGregor--and both cats Gracie and Sundae helped me check out the day's new brews: First, with Sundae, it's my thirteenth beer from Sarnia, Ontario's Refined Fool Brewing Co.--their 7% Death Row Fruit Punch IPA...

Tomorrow: Three more new beer explorations to embark upon, from the following breweries:
--Lake of Bays Brewing Company (Baysville, Ontario; my thirteenth of their wares);
--Rose City Beer Works (nearby Windsor, Ontario; my twentieth); and
--Side Launch Brewing Company (Collingwood, Ontario; my tenth)...

Urban South Brewing Paradise Park Lager

Mildly rich charmingly simple clean smoot Lager.

 

It's a quiet afternoon and I'm having a Sip of Sunshine while reading Robert the Bruce, King of Scots, by Michael Penman. It's super detailed and academic but I'm absorbing the historical narrative, which is super interesting, at at general level. Cheers!
