What beer are you drinking now? #4863

Here’s "Round Three" trying to emulate something like the old Bitburger/Sierra Nevada compilation beer Triple Hop’d Lager. I’d say this one is a heck of a lot closer than the previous two!

Today’s hop load on the IPA side features a blend of Bravo, Chinook, Citra, CTZ, and Magnum hops, giving it a very traditional West Coast IPA flavor before blending. Speaking of Westies, by itself this is a super-clear IPA, blended with the Bitburger Pilsner, it is supurb. At a 50/50 ratio, the ABV comes in around 6.2%, and the IBU is approximately (28+45)/2 = 36.5 IBU or thereabouts. Nice!

Good head, terrific lacing, and triumphant clarity, flavor is excellent on this one. Highly recommended for those of you looking for a Pilsner/IPA blender! CHUGWORTHY!

This was a rare miss by Good Word. Well Oiled Blend #3 2022 Barrel Age Barleywine. Blend of two Imperial Stouts, barleywine and wheatwine. Overly sweet even for a barleywine. Barrel flavor very minimal. I've had some better ones from them for sure.
