G'day all!

I'm sipping on this 12% abv Imperial Stout from Central Waters and it's a dandy. On the sweet side with caramel malt and cocoa, some coconut, vanilla, and Bourbon. The alcohol is definitely present.

Kind of like the old days when Greg and Fielding and I would be waiting on the steps of the Rod and Gun Club, waiting for for Frank or Lundy the Pusher to open the door so we could order scrambled eggs and bacon and Colt 45 and watch the 3 Stooges. Ah, the Good Old Days!

Today. However, since Noir Alley isn't on because we have 31 days of Hollywood backpatting on TCM, I guess I'll just swill down a New Beer:



Sur Lie (2026) from Revolution Brewing. 19. fl oz can from Revolution Deep Wood six-pack from Half Time. Ordered 20/01/26, received 13/02/26 (Not shipping until after 04/02/26). $ 28.26 (Including tax and shipping)/ $ 1.471/fl oz. Stored at 40 degrees F at home. Reviewed 15/02/26, review 3690.
Final impression and summation: 4 Uncredited label art. Overall, a decent imperial stout with an extreme price point – probably due to the excessive handling and passing between barrels and lees. But the high ABV and the stovepipe can make it delish!

Sipping on this delish brew, while I am getting ready to grill up some steelhead, and brussels sprouts and taters for lunch....yum

Looking forward to the warming coming days this week ----- 50s and sunny, yay!

 

Time for my breakfast beer on my day off work. I was going to have buffalo wings for lunch, but forgot to take them out of the freezer early enough. Oh, well. Time for a beer this Sunday morning.

Some days I don't post each and every beer that I'm having. Esp ystrdy being a busybody. Summit Triumphant was fueling me nicely. Strike the hammer while the iron is hot! So, much less to do today that requires finesse....except crafting some gottdang brauzinskies with ye.
