I think Musket is kinda phenomenal.

Bias warning, barleywine is originally my favorite style and double bias, Bruery barleywine always hits the mark for me.

But yeah, this one is really good

I am skeptical, though cherry has a better track record than most fruit for me. Fingers crossed!

Coming up on five years old... fresh it was one of my favorite wine hybrids... but I'm drain pouring my glass tonight. I just... don't like it? I'm not a fancy wine person, maybe others would say it's amazing. But the flavors aren't popping to me, and it's got a slight buttery tartness I associate with lacto (though I can't say for sure).

Last week I dumped an infected Double Double Mash, so I'm going to need to crack something safe this week to buck the trend!

I opened a Tuesday Morning last night, that was an excellent beer. Everything I expect from Black Tuesday with a nice well balanced maple sweetness. I am definitely going to purchase another bottle if it comes available.

Delicious. The flavor is great, still tasting fresh. The 17.9% is coming across a bit too hot. I'm glad to see this year's Ani is only 15.7%.

Drinking the second half tonight. Holy hell it's good. The extra heat is gone and it's just classic rich Ani flavor.

I'm a fan of the shift to 375 bottles, but there are times I'll miss the mellow 2-days-old version of some of these beers. I mean I guess I could do 6oz pours... but where's the fun in that?

I opened a Tranquil Moonlight tonight, this beer is just whiskey. It's quite tasty, but it's really all Barrel. I'm not sure what the base is but it's more barrel forward than a Black Tuesday Reserve.

Was there an issue with the any of the February beers? I've got an order from the 18th that hasn't shipped yet.

They are backed up because everyone is shipping their cellars before the deadline. This is typically the slowest month by far for deliveries.

That makes sense I didn't even think of that since I haven't been a member in years. My recent orders have been shipping very quickly so I was curious why this was taking longer. I don't mind the wait, although I am ready to try some of the February beers.

I'm reflecting on how odd it feels that we're a quarter of the way through the release calendar and I have yet to buy a single beer.

To be fair, I wanted to buy a bunch of Musket but missed it before it sold out.

I'd like to try Fat Twosday and Extended Cut... but I feel like I should wait until there's enough stuff in the shop that I can qualify for free shipping...

If it matters, I'm making up for it. I haven't been a member for years so the cellar releases have been a large part of my purchases. I'm also only Reserve level so my included bottles is half of what Hoarders will receive. If I have the option, I'm probably going to go Hoarders next year.

A very good point! Accessibility to purchase has been great the last couple years, so my cellar is flush and there's not much archive stuffi don't already have enough of.

When is the cellar deadline? Trying to order now and despite free shipping, the system wants 170$ to ship my cellared beers for the last 3 months.
