    Enjoying this long-forgotten-beer-fridge-treat after snowplay with family (pup loves it most of all!).

    Both aroma and flavor heavy black licorice.
    Pairing with slab of wife's homemade pumpkin bread, toasted with chocolate chips, slathered with cream cheese...
    Watching dvr of closing ceremony of outstanding Winter Olympics.

    Thanks. Used to have two but you know how those slim stems are. I think it broke in a damn dish washing machine. But it probly goes back to 1991 when I got it at a garage sale here for 25 cents. I found a bunch for sale on ebay. :whale::beers:

    Still coming down out there - we're at 12 inches here. Providence RI is getting hammered - they broke the record snowfall from the Blizzard of 78 by 4 inches so far so that would put them at at least 32 inches of snow. A Frosty Day IPA seems appropriate. I'm not going out to clean this stuff up until it stops snowing and the edge of the storm moves past me. The wind is howling out there as well. I think our BA brethren to the East have likely lost power.

    Current Power Outages in Massachusetts

    Multiple reliable sources agree that Massachusetts has more than 290,000 customers without power as of early–mid afternoon on February 23, 2026.

    • MEMA reports: More than 290,000 homes and businesses without electricity as of 2 p.m.

    • CBS Boston confirms the same statewide total and notes the hardest‑hit areas are southeastern MA, Cape Cod, and the Islands.
