We got around 18 inches of snow, forcing me into drinking my last can of Snow Report from Allagash, purchased directly from them at their Portland, Maine HQ.

#2, this is Brimley, a BA barleywine from Transient that I picked up in 2018. It’s held up really well, with lots of stone fruit and caramel notes.

Have a good Monday. Slept in a bit and finished The Body by Bill Bryson. Another really fun book from him. Very engaging on medical history. A lot of fun facts, memorable statistics, and a pretty light hearted/humorous edge on the book tone like his other books I have read. Another great book to find more books to read. I added Sex by Numbers by David Spiegelhalter, a Typhoid Mary book by Anthony Bourdain, and Genius on the Edge by Gerald Imber about William Stewart Halsted to my TBR while listening to it. I'll have to search through the bibliography in the index for others. He narrated the audiobook. 4.5/5

Next up is The Demon of Unrest by Erik Larson. I have 4 books due in less than 4 days so I got a lot to wrap up my February list. I have read quite a few of his history books before.

Also good news is Girly is doing amazing now, after over week since the spay surgery. She even came to lay in bed between us last night, only a matter of time until all 5 are sleeping with us

Wernesgruner Grapefruit Radler from Aldi. More juicy soda flavor presence than the Lemon Radler, more flavorful as well. I still think Paulaner Grapefruit is my favorite radler. Time for a Total Wine Visit!

New Beyond Creation single. First listen was "okay" but it's growing on me.

We got slammed down here, I was going to try and clean some snow around noon but the wind was insane. We’ll have to go out tomorrow, my plan is a walkway to the car and enough to be able to get one of our cars out. I’ll have to peck away at the rest over the course of the week. We got about 20 inches of heavy wet cement.
We are probably one of about a couple of 100 homes that didn’t lose power on the Cape. I feel blessed and lucky about that, usually we are the first outage and last to get it back. Cheers!

Walked into one of my locals today and was pleasantly surprised to find a stash of two-week-old Focal. No Heady, which was kind of weird, but I was happy to snag two 4-packs.

This Terry Brown mix has turned out to be divisive, but I love it. Grace Under Pressure was the first of five Rush tours I saw in my teens and 20s; tickets to the San Jose show this October have been secured!

Dr Juice. An IPA brewed by Parish. Another new-to me IPA.

Had a great time dropping in on the zoom meeting set up by @LarryV . Was really excited to get to talk with @TheIPAHunter . A really great guy.

Now trying to scrounge up something for dinner.

My son and I are now trying Firestone Walker's Parabaloid from 2025. This 'vintage
' seems to have more of a distinct whiskey nose and taste to it.
