What beer are you drinking now? #4882

Well a second beer is in order. My computer work today is extra mind-numbing. A Sierra Nevada Springfest will do. It's a decent brew, but not quite up to SN standards in my opinion.
I love the flavor on these sunflower seeds, but forgot how hard it is to split the seed from the shell. At least I got daily dose of saw dust...

The Big Lubelski, a "Polish Style Lager" from Royal City Brewing Co.

I was hoping for a smoked lager, but sadly no. The Pilish Lubelski hops are interesting though.

I used to work night shifts in the oil patch. After work I would go to my local cafe and order one of these. It would come in its own glass, complete with dancing pink elephants. Then off to bed.

Not your average breakfast drink. I got a lot of looks.

Just finished packing for our 17-day tour thru Northern, Central, and Sierras Cali that starts tomorrow. Flying into Sacramento then driving up to Arcata for a 4-day stay with a focus on the Redwoods National and State Parks in the area, along with some local culture/history and beer of course.
Getting into a EBW Coconut variant from 3 Floyds sourced from Pennsyltucky, PA last fall. This is a solid sipper, but the adjuncts have more or less overpowered the base beer. Rated 4.05. I liked the regular Pillar of Beasts better, rating that a 4.31.

Yes, but it's quite a small glass really. Another favorite to order was a half litre of Hoegaarden which also came in its own glass, which was quite thick, so that it refracted the beer in a way that made it look much larger. It looked like a pail of beer on the table. I think I got more looks from that one. Who doesn't enjoy a pail of beer with breakfast?

 

Swamp Head Brewery Big Nose IPA at Bonefish.

 

Had my first HSA over the weekend, from RAR, and it was great. This is pretty close. Smooth hoppiness that hides the 9% and has no noticeable sweetness.

Paired with some Kool Moe Dee

 

I see you don't rate a ton of beers as tickers like me do but i see your consistent posts of Swamp Head IPA's is an endorsement from an IPA head with great taste. Will look for it the next time we are in FLA.

SN Pils ... soooo refreshing.

 

A non-BA buddy left this for me from Saturday night's poker game. This rocks, 9.5% ABV totally hidden. One of the best non-barrel aged Scotch Ale/ Wee Heavy beers I've had.
