Good morning all. I’m downing the final Sierra Nevada Speingfest from my six pack. I like this beer a lot better at fridge temp before it warms and the Pilsner malts start to overwhelm the hoppiness. Not a good thing when you have to drink a beer this cold to find it enjoyable.

Beautiful springlike day out, not sure of my plans for today. Spent yesterday afternoon cleaning up some clutter that had accumulated along the side of the house over the winter. Good to have things put back in their places.

Today, it's grey and foggy, out here in McGregor, but it's very nice to see that's spring is finally here, and to stay. With the weekend upon us as well, both cats Gracie and Sundae couldn't wait to help me investigate the new brews of the day--a celebration of Ontarian craftsmanship: First, with Gracie, it's my sixteenth beer from Oakville's Cameron's Brewing Company--their 4% Lawn Hero Light IPA ...

Next, with Sundae, my eighteenth brew from Burlington's Nickel Brook Brewing Co.--the 5% Paddle Battle West Coast-Style Pilsner, from their Small Batch Series...

Finally, also with Sundae, it's my fourth beer from Parry Sound's Trestle Brewing Company--their 4.8% Noctalgia (a new word for the sadness over the loss of dark skies due to artificial lights) Black Lager...

Tomorrow: Three more new beers to consider, from these Canadian breweries (from Ontario unless otherwise specified):
--Collective Arts Brewing (Hamilton; my twenty-sixth);
--Moosehead Breweries Limited (Saint John, New Brunswick; my sixth); and
--Rose City Beer Works (nearby Windsor; my thirty-second)...

I have been to the original location, twice, and two other expansion locations, 400 different beers from them is incredible! That just tells everyone that you know, and are drinking top notch beers! Cheers!

 

Hah, thanks. Not sure if I should be proud or ashamed? They opened a location in Sandwich, MA, & I can get there & back in under an hour. Good for Nate, bad for my wallet.
