From what i experienced a lighter beer is definitely the way to go to shovel tons of snow. That Imperial Stout i was drinking while shoveling definitely backfired after 20 min
It goes well with snow if you're drinking it in the house sitting by the fireplace while looking out the window at the falling snow.
Call the regular guys to plow the driveway. When the job is done, Id have a whiskey or brandy. Fifteen years ago, I'd have shoveled.
