@tasterschoice62 cheers for the comment on the pizza yesterday. My wife makes the dough so it’s been doing its thing since Tuesday. She’s the baker, I’m the drinker. Typically can’t make em too circular when I work it cos my paddle is rectangular not circular… ah well. Tasty just the same! Cheers!

I had a sample pour of this beer last month at the Philly German Bierfest. I liked it.

At this point in time I am lager ‘rich’. Both a Bohemian Pilsner and 1896 Michelob in drinking shape. A Czech Dark Lager bottle conditioning and. CAP I will be bottling in a few days. Maybe I will buy this beer in 6+ months if Troegs is still packaging it.

A few years ago I was a HUGE fan of Victory Classic Lager but they decided to no longer package this beer, due to lack of sales I assume.

    Cheers!

We're having sushi with friends. First up is a lobster roll accompanied by Alien Church.

Then a Spicy Maki Combo (at least what's left of it) with Tarragon Tripel from Rushing Duck. Both beers paired well. Cheers!

Very nice, a good problem to have, I'm hoping to get to Von C one day to try their CAP. I also have family going to Clearwater soon, I may have them try and bring a can of Green Bench Postcard Pils back.

I'm guessing it would classify as CAP??

Loving this one. I went low budget trying to get some flavor out of lesser cuts.
This bottom round is usually reserved for braising like pot roast. If you salt brine and go slow and low it actually is quite a tasty piece of meat, although expect a bit of, chew it's not very tender. Tied this up and went 300°. Came out perfect and tasted great. Still 22$ for a 3#chunk. Prices are way up.... as if you haven't noticed :stuck_out_tongue:

With the news this is going away in a package I had to grab a pack. I got one of the last at the second spot I went, first had none. The owner told me this was the last he could get, ordered more but it’s gone. I am going to look at a few other spots to grab a few more.

Spicy Earthy as I remember, not as hoppy as I remember. I first had this when it was released in 1996 and was so blown away by it I had this as one of the kegs at my wedding later in the year. At almost 7% this was hi-octane back then. This label is by far the worst of all the different types that were produced. I also remember having this on tap at the airport with breakfast at Chickies and that beer was one of the best I ever had. People places and situations all come into play here. For a while this was a top East Coast IPA. I used a B/W filter since there was no color photography when this was first made.

Unrelated……what beers from EasT TN should I not miss?

    Enjoy

Looked great. Perfectly round doesn't mean perfectly good. You ever see Al Fornos (claim to be the inventor of the grilled pie, Providence RI) pie? It's different every time. Sounds like she fermented the dough. Good deal. Cheers!
