Anyone know how long it takes them to catch up with shipping last year's cellar beers? I've got an order from February 19th that hasn't shipped yet. They told me the delay was because they are still filling end of the year cellar releases for last year's members.
Same problem here. They also mentioned that they are currently in the process of transitioning to a new fulfillment partner, which has temporarily impacted their ability to ship orders to certain states...
Thanks for the response. They didn't mention anything about fulfillment partners in my email response. Hopefully things get sorted out soon.
Poterie Ten years old. I've had mixed experiences with this vintage over the years, but this one's fantastic. I had more bottles of this than anything because my Costco had it cheaper than my member discount . This bottle still had full carbonation and I didn't get any oxidation at all. I bet in a blind tasting I would have thought it was a fresh Ani. There have been several recent years where the ABV was dialed up too much on Ani. They likely need some time to mellow. I'm excited to try this year's toned down version. And like this Poterie, I'm not sure there's much value to extended aging when you know you'll get a really good vintage every three years or so.
Yep, Costco had stacks of Poterie at a killer price! I bought like 6 that day but lost a bunch of those in an earthquake haha. One of my favorite beers!
Tangential question for the local crowd: Headed to Disneyland and Legoland with the family in a couple weeks. Won't really have time to hang in bars per se, but if there were a couple spots with good reliable can/bottle to-go options I'd be keen to swing by. Definitely have my eye on Everywhere... What else should I know about?
When I was in Anaheim last year, I enjoyed a visit to Everywhere as well as Bottle Logic and spent way to much money at Mr K's liquor.
Stupid q: the anniversary tickets this year or perhaps every year: Available to all or just members? i remember going a few years back but the site Clarified was open to all. nowadays just states only limited amounts. Below is the sample: "This year, we’re hosting a more intimate experience with only 300 tickets available" Doesn't help much. i get the space constraints though about half is utilized when really should be the at least 3/4 of the lot. Please advise.
If you have a chance to visit Bottle Logic, you should go across the street to Windsor. It has one of the best tap lists in the area and an amazing selection to go.
Portified Yum yum. I didn't chill it first this time, and I'm happy with that choice. Broadly similar to how it was fresh but I do think it's rounded out in a slightly positive way. Lots of depth of flavor without being in your face. Seems a little more equal stout vs port now, as opposed to being more port heavy before.
BT Sherry From the 2021 barrel box. This one was always a winner for me and it's still outstanding. Still a lot of heat for five years, but it's such an interesting barrel character without being weird.
If any of you still have some of these sitting around from 2014, don't worry. It is still incredible!
LOL, we might be in for a long wait. They did email me and told me that they are working with a new shipping partner and it has caused a delay. Hopefully they sort it out.
Pulled the trigger on the 2024 BT Reserve Private Barrel pack they put up yesterday. Haven’t heard much about these, how are they?
