Wondering if anyone's done the Milwaukee Brewing Co.'s tour - and before anyone suggests it, yes, I've been on the Lakefront tour a dozen times. Their tour sounds nice on their website, but was looking for some perspective from people that have already done it. Taking some beer loving friends to MKE for a show next weekend and want to do a tour beforehand. They've only been on Miller, so I'm ok with doing Lakefront AGAIN, but would like to do MKE Brewing if it's any good.

I haven't personally been on it, but I've heard positive things from BAs and non BAs. I hear they're quite generous with the amount of beer they give out if that matters.

I would highly recommend the MBC tour. It's basically what Lakefront used to be in the late 90' early 2000's. They give you a pint glass and it's free pour city for two straight hours. :grinning: The tour itself is actually pretty interesting and fun too. I honestly didn't know much about the brewery and it's history before I went on the tour. So it was sort of new info for me. I plan on hitting it a few more times this summer.

Well, we're heading to a live broadcast of "A Prairie Home Companion," so a few generous pours might make Mr. Keillor a bit funnier.

Take if from a Minnesotan, it's going to take more than a few pours to make him funny. May I recommend shots any spirit of your choice...multiple shots.:grinning:

MKEBCO tour is fun. Like mentioned before, free pour city for two hours, usually the owners are around. Go on the last tour of the day, that's when the guides and taps loosen up.

Went on it last night, definitely a great time. As people have mentioned, your seven bucks will get you as many pours as you wish, and they have some specialty beers on tap right now I never knew they brewed (IIPA and black IPA come to mind).

It's awesome! Not my favorite beer but it was $7 and you got a free pint glass and unlimited pours into the pint glass for as long as you're there - before the tour, during the tour, and within a reasonable amount of time after the tour. And you get a coupon for a free MBC beer at a few (very) close bars.
