Simply gorgeous beer. Congnac legs, deep chocolate, subtle barrel notes, funky banana in the way-back-machine, nutty, perfect vanilla, a 4.5 any old day.

I hear you on that. I have always believed that real strength is not about avoiding emotions, but being able to face them directly.

Too hot for beer today at the ballgame, but I'm celebrating a Texas series win with a Primal Stout at Mellow Mushroom in downtown Columbia.

 

Nice batch of Vienna Lager from Good Word. Wolves at the Door 4.8%
Looks like Todd D. used his new filtration system for the first time on this batch. Much more clear and brilliant than before. I call Vienna Lager the amber version of German Pils. Like its pale equivalent, it's a great everyday beer.
