I have a fireplace insert in mine and it works pretty well for warming up the house. I just got tired of having to move and stack wood and so I gradually fell out of using it. But if I'm going to strt burning again occasionally, it's imperative that I have the chimney cleaned and inspected. I have a great chimney sweep that I use. He always does a superb job and leaves the house as clean as it was when he came by.

Thanks, it really is a work of art. Ibanez makes really solid instruments, it's one of my favorites, but I have many favorites

Usually comes down to whatever guitar I pick up that day. Cheers!!

Holla at @snaotheus for this hit of what is likely my favorite IPA, Elevated from Le Cumbre. Clear, dark gold, strong white head, just the right amount of bitterness, some balancing malt/grain, this beer almost makes me want t o move to Albuquerque.

    Almost..

I'm not a fan of Tobacco Burst finishes but that's a beautiful guitar and Ibanez does a great job with their Hollow Bodies and Jazz boxes!

West coast Wednesday....I'm in! Trillium Country Squire west coast IPA. Canned 3/3 this has a milder taste than I would expect for a westie, light bitter and pine taste, easy drinker tho.......

I love sunburst finishes, and that one is gorgeous. That guitar has a real quality feel to it - you can feel it just picking it up. I can't get it to sound like John Scofield though

Ibanez calls that their Vintage Yellow Sunburst.

Actually, well over half over and we are winning. Plenty of time to screw it up.

Have a good hump day. I was up for over 24 hours and I went to sleep at 11AM after listening to The Age of Voltaire (The Story of Civilization, #9) by Will and Ariel Durant all night. Already halfway through, so I should be able to finish it by the evening tomorrow when it is due at the library. It's like and encyclopaedic table of contents on laying out history in many parts. The audiobook is 43 hours, Grover Gardner is a great narrator for long ass books. 4.5/5

My Wife is making the Spanish Rice recipe for dinner. She hasn't made it in a while! One of my favorites.

New Belgium imperial Voodoo Ranger to start off the evening. strong pine, resin, and citrus rind hop notes balanced by a solid caramel/bready malt backbone. Great old school feeling DIPA. There is no voodoo ranger I didn't like.

Clear and amber pour and appearance in the glass; sparse carbonation; somewhat thick head, white, dense and frothy. Dank and spicy nose; semi-sweet underlying sweetness. Medium malt base; spicy hop flavor; pine resin with a slight earthy herbal aspect. Medium mouthfeel crisp yet with a lightly sticky quality.

This little number is well-balanced and quite flavorful, very approachable, and a pleasure to drink.

ABV: 7.2%; pouring temperature: 46.3 °F; canning info: unreadable

...we've had good luck with the two we've used...one retired, the other actually didn't charge us for a visit since he didn't think we needed a cleaning...

I always have had a wood burning fireplace . I enjoy cutting fine cutting ,stacking and drying the wood . Enjoying building a fire every night in the winter/spring because each night is a different look in flame and crackling wood . The sound and the smell. I loved chopping wood also. Would do easily a cord each winter.

RaR Lumber Sexual: Winter Edition DIPA (Citra, Riwaka, NZ Cascade). Saturated with hop character and a drinkable, soft, silky body. Getting big passionfruit, yellow grapefruit flesh and peel, mango and lime sorbet, lime zest, kiwi, NZ funk, diesel, pine resin. Impressive haze.

That's important - that's why I use the guy I use. He came over one time and said it really doesn't need to be cleaned - I instantly knew he was an honest dude.
