Didn't have one, but the burgers smelled great too! https://apolloexos.com/ https://www.toasttab.com/local/orde...tt-ave/r-1514f1f4-62a6-4208-946e-d6ec8d2649d0
Me too. If an animal loses its life to slaughter to satisfy us, I want to pay my respect and eat as much of that animal as possible. When I’m back home in Orange County, I even go to a taco shop that serves sesos (brain) tacos. They are amazing and have a creamy texture. Cheers.
Had a pretty good beer weekend this past Easter weekend in Cleveland. Solid beer shopping at the following: Home - Hansa Import Store Simone's Beverage Lunch at Winking Lizard Tavern | Lakewood, OH | Reviews | BeerAdvocate Then Easter Brunch at Hofbräuhaus Cleveland | Cleveland, OH | Reviews | BeerAdvocate The BBA Doppelbock is silly good.
Today, is an ideal beer day. I didn't have to go to work (retired), went on a run in the morning, and spent time with my wife in the afternoon getting our house ready for my son and his family to move in. I will make dinner, and after dinner, I will open the beer fridge and figure out which two beers I will tonight. Calmly drink them watching Jeopardy and Colbert Show reruns with my wife. Another ideal beer day is visiting my son in Denver where he shared some of his craft favorites and I share some that I have brought to him. Yes, I can have two ideal days!
If I had a perfect day I would have it start this way, open up the fridge and have a tallboy. Yeah. Then I’d meet up with my friends, go out to the game again.

Perfect 2 day in Vermont (summer): Day 1 Lunch and beer at Lost Nation Afternoon at Hill Farmstead / Over to Chill at Lake Willoughby for a few hrs. Dinner at Hen in the Wood Nightcap at Blackback Pub Day 2 Lunch and Afternoon at Von Trappe Swing by Alchemist Swing by Lawsons Dinner at (Pro Pig) Nightcap to watch sunset over Lake Champlain at Foam not perfectly planned logistics but just thru out some of my favs while visiting
My ideal beer day would be having either a friend or beloved family member show up to the house, with copious amounts of good beer and a pizza. Shoot some billiards while jamming to some great tunes, partake in a stogie and/or other combustible herbs, and just chillax. Shoot the shit and drink great brews. I'm brewery toured/Festivaled out. People in general annoy me in my old age, especially in crowds. I like my man cave. Home theater surround sound system, Guitar, darts, billiards, XBOX. No need to go anywhere. Also, can't complain about the service at home.
That sounds like a fun time! I can definitely get down with German beer. I may have to have the wife add that to next year's itinerary. We took the train from Harrisburg to Philly and back. So much better than driving in the city! Über around the city to the beer spots and make sure you don't miss the train back home. Thanks for the heads up.
Sounds like an amazing time. For some reason this reminds me of a close friend of mine when I lived in Colorado (who has unfortunately since passed). When he'd come over, he'd make me shut off the TV and we'd just listen to music, talk, eat, and drink craft beer/homebrew. He was an amazing dude and I miss him something awful Truth
I think, for me, an ideal beer day involves not having to drive at all. Like let me walk around Brooklyn or Portland, Maine for two examples of places I've been and done this. That type of place, plus also have access to great restaurants.
One of visions of best beer day is stopping by Treehouse (Saratoga is closest for me). Trying a few stout and Barleywine samples, selecting the most extreme and sitting in front of the fireplace and drinking it
Delta one lounge JFK Going out to Chile and then two weeks coming back, I could have as much free as I wanted… There’s a limit to how much you could have and still get on the plane
I awake next to the river in my camper. I go outside and make some bacon in a cast iron pan over a campfire and drink a raunchier from Schlenkerla. A couple hours later I heat up the pokers to bierstacheln a nice pint of doppelbock. After a nap by the river I drive over to The Wooly Pig Farm brewery and enjoy a pint of their rye Dunkel along with the food truck offering or a deli sandwich from the nearby deli. Back to the camper and a pint of Uniontown Brewing 1850 Stout in front of the campfire. What a day!!
That sounds like a great day. Someday I'm going to get to Wooly Pig to enjoy their beers. @dcotom New word for your poking hobby. https://www.google.com/search?q=bie...mcast-us-rvc3&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
It would have to be after day of camping in the woods , on fairly warm Autumn day. Colors are at peak. You`re surrounded by reds, yellows, orange, etc. Now the sun has gone down, there`s a chill in the air but you`re sitting by a nice Warm campfire! You`ve just roasted a couple hot dogs and popped some corn. You light up a nice cigar or fill the bowl of pipe. You reach into a cooler filled with ice. And at the bottom are a few of your favorites. They could be lights, darks, imports or domestic. Right at this time, it really doesn`t matter. '
