White Elm Churroutta Here Imperial Stout, 13% ABV. Basically a cinnamon Pastry Stout. I rated this 4.2 a year ago. Another beer by White Elm where you can't capture the whole name in a picture. Most of their beers are like that, as if it's a problem using two lines.

When Magnify Brewing opened its venue in South Jersey last year, the O.G. Brewery/taproom in Fairfield (North Jersey) became a bit of an afterthought. So I was excited to hear that the long-time brewer in Fairfield was launching a new brewing venture, 2nd Favor Brewing. It now shares the space with Magnify and brews under its own name. My first pour is Mischievous Nature, a Belgian Blonde Ale. This is fist rate. I’ll buy cans. Cheers!

Last of the 2nd Favor beers is a Porter called Workman’s Friend. It is a classic Porter with notes of acidic coffee, bakers chocolate, nuts, tobacco smoke, and bitter char. This is first rate. Cheers to the weekend, BAs!

 

I would agree with you on being a good beer within its style, and apparently so would a good number of GABF judges over the years. I quite like it, but I don't get it too often. It's available as a fairly core local offering, but that strange quirk of human psychology haunts me - because I can have it [almost] any time, I never get it.

Also, based on some recent posts, I think I see a Torpedo variant 12pk in my future.

I do always buy the Double version of this when I see it with a reasonable date, but the GF decided she wanted to have the regular version of Union's Duckpin.

A relaxing day of golf watching is in store for me as I sip on this.
