I just love Alesmith. Everything that comes out of this San Diego brewer rocks my socks off!

Today’s chug is their tasty .394 Pale Ale, a tribute to and in collaboration with Tony Gwynn and his remarkable 1994 season. .394 is a “hopped up” Pale Ale, nothing like IPA range, but hoppier than most Pale Ales. This gives the beer a delicious and bright freshness – it really wakes up this Pale Ale.

With citrus and tropical fruit notes, .394 is a 6% ABV beer with an unpublished IBU. I’d guess maybe in the 25-30 IBU range. This is a fantastic and chugworthy pint, great head and some of the best lacing you’ll find in a San Diego Ale. Bravo!

Clever Girl. An IPA brewed by Triple Crossing.
The guy who started the program is a retired army officer who spent many years out of country. He is my son-in-laws uncle. Every Thursday morning (7:00!) about two dozen guys from the church meet for breakfast. Some real southern chow. Can’t beat it.

I scored my bounty of a 4pk of Tripel-Nator, so we're out to grab a bite to eat at a real restaurant.
Sticking with the theme, Tröegs Perpetual IPA, by process of elimination.

#2, this big (16% ABV) BA imperial stout that is a collab between an iconic brewery that knows the style impeccably well and an iconic beer store in the Chicagoland area that has an EXTRAORDINARY beer selection is indeed heavy on the oaky side of the flavor spectrum - and I absolutely love it.

    Phenomenal stuff, IMHO.

    Howdy BAs
Jewel of the Sea from Tree House, DIPA with Citra, Mosaic, Idaho 7 and pearl malt. Kind of sweet, kind of bready. Pineapple, apricot and orange candy notes, pretty tasty. Cheers!

We bought a new car today for my wife, turned in her 14 year old Acura TL for an Acura RDX, probably the easiest transaction at a dealer we ever had, made what we considered a fair deal on a ‘24 rdx grey with espresso interior with only 8k miles on it. My wife should do car buying consulting, she is a really good negotiator.
