Got as an IP gift from @BeerBaron666 in 2022. Modern Times Mega Devil's Teeth - Bourbon Barrel-Aged - Coconut NOLA Coffee. Canned 11/19/2021. Dense black color, poor retention and no lacing as expected of the big ABV. Aromas of big dark chocolate, nutty dark roasted coffee, cocoa, vanilla, chicory, almonds, molasses, fudge, caramel, toffee, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and light smoke/char. Mild booze in the aromas as it warms. Taste follows with huge milk/dark chocolate, nutty dark roasted coffee, cocoa, vanilla, chicory, almonds, molasses, fudge, caramel, toffee, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and light smoke/char. Mild hop/char bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; very creamy/silky/velvety malts; light sticky hop, chalky roast, and bourbon/oak tannin in the mouthfeel. Light lingering bitter/oak tannin dryness, no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors. Dangerously smooth sipper, mild increasing warmth of 13.9% and barrel booze after the finish. Perfect balance of rich malts, coffee, flavorings, and bourbon barrel integration all around. 4.41/5
