The last couple of times I've had Straight Jacket, I've noted a nice butterscotch flavor in addition to the caramel/toffee. We don't get any Revolution distribution here, unfortunately.
Yeah, I can see butterscotch. Revolution doesn't distribute here either, but thankfully half time beverage out of New York will ship it here when they have it.

...or do what breweries like Hoppin' Frog do with some of their massive RIS beers and put them in a 8.45 oz can (which also happens to fill a Glencairn whiskey glass perfectly)...
Very true! Free Will and Sam Adams (Utopias) might be the only others that have these bigger bottles that can be sampled multiple times.
...never had Utopia but @DIM has hooked me up with a couple of Dystopias...but, yes, same idea with pour a bit and save the rest for later...
...yes, he and I have done a couple of small trades...he even helped send a bottle of Dystopias to @GreenBayBA for one of Micah's BA Sheboygan meetups...I couldn't get up to WI that time, but thought fellow BAs might like it during the bottle share...
This is a WOW beer; it has matured beautifully! Toffee and dark fruit forward with each sip full and silky smooth. Very balanced. Only one left in the catacombs of my beer fridge. I know i am a Bigfoot Head, but this is hands down the best non-barrel aged ABW i have had. Changed my original 2011 rating from 4.3 to 4.51. Cheers! Tom
Paired Third Coast with a good book i just finished, now moving onto Hibernation Old Ale. This brew has a lot going on and i have had well aged iterations that have coalesced fantastically. Why don't i age more? Only so much room in the beer fridge and i don't have a cellar. Cheers! Tom
Yep, I think I've sent around 8 of those out? One of my favorite beers to share, but I don't think they're making it anymore.
The Xyauyu line from Baladin is bottled still and comes in 500 mL bottles. The packaging includes a stopper so that you can enjoy it over an extended period. Some of my all-time favorite barleywines.
